Burris Law founder Kelly Burris was elected to a five-year term on the Board of Directors of the Detroit Athletic Club on January 23, 2024. In her role, Kelly will help steer the club through some ambitious future plans, including additional renovations slated for this year.
Founded in 1887, the historic Detroit Athletic Club has been the recipient of the prestigious Platinum Clubs of America Award for the last six years. The Michigan Chronicle reported that “[The Platinum Club Award] further cements the Detroit Athletic Club’s status not only as a beacon of sporting and social excellence in Detroit but also as a shining example of the city’s broader resurgence and vibrancy. Detroit, through institutions like the DAC, continues to outshine, demonstrating its enduring spirit and capacity to excel on national stages.”
