Lou Houston
Intellectual Property Attorney
Lou Houston is an experienced intellectual property attorney, specializing in patent applications, patent clearance searches and opinions. Prior to joining Burris Law, Lou worked at multiple national intellectual property firms in the U.S., as well as spending a year as a Patent Examiner for the USPTO.
With an educational background in electrical engineering, Lou has used her knowledge to prepare patent applications in many fields including automotive, aviation, computer networks and telecommunications.
During her time with the USPTO Lou worked in the area of multiplexing network communication systems, including wired and wireless networks, data packaging, routers, switches, applications and related databases.
Born and raised in Detroit, Lou returned to her hometown 2021 to be closer to family and to become a part of the Burris Law team.
Lou is licensed to practice in Colorado and before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office.
